Since 2005, Logistics Executive Group has transformed over 8,000 lives through educational programs in partnership with Oasis Africa and Red Rose. We believe in making a difference—one student at a time.
Beginning in 2005, Oasis Africa has dramatically impacted lives with every donation and word of support. Our mission is to provide slum-based students the opportunity to continue their education through Secondary and Tertiary schooling. These scholarships are more than just financial aid; they are tickets out of poverty for these students and their families.
Too many families cannot afford the cost of high school. Oasis Africa fills this crucial gap with scholarships that cover tuition, board, school supplies, and uniforms, paired with mentoringthat emphasizes leadership and social skills. This not only educates but also inspires students to rise above their circumstances and become trailblazers in their communities.
Since initiating the Secondary School Scholarship program in 2008, Oasis Africa has been a beacon of hope in Kibera, one of Nairobi’s largest slums. By empowering students with skills that are in high demand, we help break the cycle of poverty and pave the way for them to become key economic contributors.
Despite global strides towards universal primary education, the leap to secondary school remains out of reach for many. By providing scholarships for secondary and tertiary education, we enable gifted students to achieve their full potential.
In June 2005, Logistics Executive Group's Global CEO, Mr. Kim Winter, was struck by the harsh realities faced by orphans and vulnerable children in Kibera, one of Nairobi's largest slums. In a dim, cramped iron shed, amid squalor and insecurity, he found 50 children struggling to learn. Moved by their plight, Mr. Winter, together with a group of friends from Sydney, founded "Oasis Africa Australia–The Kibera School for Orphans Project." This initiative was aimed at not only raising awareness but also securing the necessary funding to make a tangible difference. Thanks to the personal financial commitment from our co-founders, including Mr. Winter and Lalita Ari, the school quickly moved to a better facility by September 2005. This set the stage for a broader support structure, including an Australian team and an International Advisory Board, to sustain and expand the project. The backdrop to this initiative is a stark reminder of the broader challenges: nearly 3.9 million people, or 55% of Kenya's urban population, live in slums. These communities face dire conditions—overcrowded living spaces, inadequate sanitation, and a severe lack of basic services, which profoundly impact health and well-being. The mortality rate for children under five in these areas is alarmingly high, and the demand for land only intensifies these struggles. Driven by a vision to enact real change, Logistics Executive Group, through the Oasis Africa initiative, continues to commit resources and advocacy to improve the lives of Nairobi’s most vulnerable, ensuring every effort leads to sustainable progress. This is our story of turning awareness into action, fostering hope and opportunity where it's most needed. Join us in making a difference.
Logistics Executive Group, in collaboration with our clients, industry peers, and expansive networks, is committed to making a profound impact through our CSR program. We focus on providing end-of-life laptops, essential equipment, and books to Red Rose Primary School in Kibera, one of Nairobi's largest slums. This initiative, warmly embraced and supported by our partners, has dramatically transformed the educational landscape for hundreds of students by enhancing their access to digital libraries and learning platforms. Since 2021, we have proudly delivered more than 200 laptops, significantly boosting digital education opportunities. Red Rose School, which currently serves 400 students, many from families unable to afford even minimal school fees, stands as a beacon of hope. Through our sponsorship program, the school not only offers primary education to the most disadvantaged but also provides two nutritious meals daily to every student, ensuring they can learn on a full stomach. Beyond academics, Red Rose encourages a balanced education with a strong emphasis on co-curricular activities including art, music, and sports. In addition to sponsoring students and supporting Oasis Africa programs, Logistics Executive Group and our partners continuously supply the school with vital technological resources. These efforts are crucial for fostering a conducive learning environment and equipping children with the skills needed in a digital world. Join us as we continue to support and expand this vital program, empowering children in Kibera with the tools for a brighter future.

Read MoreOur purpose centres around “Freedom from Poverty through Education”. Knowing that sending a child to High School is too expensive for most slum-based parents, there was a clear gap that needed to be filled. The reality of extreme poverty is tragic, yet the attitude of our students to go beyond their backgrounds to become role models for their generation is inspirational.
